Friday Mixtuals - Breakbeat Lou "BIS show" + Leisureware "Parasol Mix"

We're back with our Friday mixtuals recommendations. Basically a select few mixes that have really been floating our boatings over the past few days that we highly recommend downloading, streaming or just having a little look at.     

Two gems for you this week........

Breakbeat Lou - Beats In Space show

First up Breakbeat Lou, creator of the ultimate breaks and beats series joins Tim Sweeney in the Beats in Space studio for a session of some of the most classic breaks and drum loops you could ever need to hear.

If you're not listing to the Beats in Space shows yet you're missing out on a serious trick. Recorded and streamed live from New York's WNYU 89.1 FM the show has weekly guests on the mix tip including Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and upcoming Trouble Vision guest Andres featured over the past few weeks. There's also a bit of chat to break things up a bit on all the Beats in Space shows....not really worth calling it a radio show if it's just a straight up mix right?

Nice to have something a little different on this one. Get on over to the Beats In Space web site here for the mix download as well as a massive archive of older shows.   

Leisureware - Parasol Mix

Another top mix from Fill Yer Boots controller Leisureware. This boy is a mix machine and we've posted a few of his choice selections up here over the past months. No dropping in quality on this one either featuring a lathering of classier end house cuts including the Bicep and Omar Odyssy beaut "Don't" and an e funk feeling shake up towards the end. Wussup all.

We're back! After another superb Stop Making Sense Festival adventure in Croatia. Both the Trouble Vision Boat and Club parties went off. The usual boat antics made for an amazing start to the evening and Deetron fully controlling the club session after was very special indeed. 

Other high lights included Mr Solid Gold bringing the last hour of the club session in with what we like to call a "Power hour selection"  as well as the impromptu beach bar after party rolling through until noon the next day.

Huge love to Chris and the Stop Making Sense family for smashing it again this year and a massive thanks to all the people that came and boogied. Hopefully we'll see you all there again next year.

So as its been few weeks without a post we thought we'd ease it back in with a couple of little Thursday treats.

Medlar - TSUBA Mix

A very tasty mix from Medlar for the TSUBA podcast series.   Medlar can do no wrong in our eyes right now and the mix is a perfect example of that. The lad has some serious taste. Get on the link here and sign up to the TSUBA site to get the download.

Second up -  WAR - "lowrider" (Kiwi edit) - Free Download

A superb edit of  WAR - "Lowrider" from the man Kiwi. We were well impressed with the Moloko edit he sent us over a good few months back and this one is also hitting the spot. Listen on the Soundcloud below with Download link also on the player.
