Hunee - LN-CC Store Mix 015

Another fun weekend that was. Love to all the Oonst crowd for Friday night. Massive love going out to Luca Lozano and Alex Egan for coming down and laying down superb sets.

Also shouts to Mr Hesselworth and the Tief massive. We dropped by Corsica studios on Saturday for what turned out to be one of the best parties of 2013 for me. An absolute belter from the one and only Henrik Schwartz and one of the best sets I've heard in a long time from today's mix recommendation creator Hunee.

I've been a fan of Hunee for a wee while now but was yet to catch a full set from him in a party environment. Saturday night was my first and i am very pleased to say it was epic. From disco rarities to pumping grooved out house and techno cuts. Hunee was one of the night makers for me. The Berliner knows a thing or two about creating a party.

Wanted to post this mix today put together by Hunne for the East London store LN-CC a couple of months back. Its a little slower at first from his usual club sets but in true mix tape style builds things perfectly from its Jazzy beginnings to the latter funk and disco perfection he was slamming out on Saturday night. It doesn't get to housey but thats not always a bad thing.

Baunz - April Mix

Thursday wussups all round!

Sorry for the lack in posts over the past week. We've been all over the place and neglecting our web space like dogs. Hopefully we'll be able to make it up to you today and tomorrow.

In today with this freshly cut house selection from our Italian Brother man Baunz.

Baunz aka Dario Vola has been smashing it of late with releases out on ModaBLACK, This IS Music, A collaboration with Little Boots out on 2020Vision and plenty more in the pipe line. We also had the pleasure of him coming down and playing a set at Oonst a few months back and what a set he laid out!

This little splicing is his April installment and it is filling my Thursday afternoon with everything that i could want. Fresh rollers and deep clean house throughout. Get it on the player below and go follow the man on twitter here.

The Pushamann - Rinse FM show + Hannah Holland - Gouge Away Mix

Happy Monday guys.

Hope you all had suitably safe weekends. We are definitely feeling the Monday burn again. Shouts going out to the Beastmode crew for one hell of a party down at The Bussey Building in Peckham on Saturday. We thoroughly enjoyed our set,and highly recommend checking out their next installment in the not so distant future.

In today with two quality recordings.

The Pushamann - Rinse FM show

The second Rinse installment from the Pushamann today. Recorded at the Rinse studios a couple of weeks back and packed with the usual house quality that The Pushamann brings to the floor every time round.

We're really loving the switch up coming through from Rinse FM recently with new shows from peeps including Horse Meat Disco, Tief's Mr Hesselworth and of course Charles Kerr AKA The Pushamann. It really shows that they are making an effort to keep things fresh and with such talent stepping up its working a treat.

Get the show on the jump here or on the url below if the interwebs being difficult.

Get it on the Soundcloud player below with full track listing over on the Soundcloud page. Check out more from Hannah over on Hannah's Facbook page here.

BoaBoa - April 2013 mix

Another weekend done and we have the battle wounds to prove it was good. Big shouts to Ruben and Will and the whole Resident Cohhons crew for their sterling effort of a party down at Canavans in Peckham on Friday. We were treated to an epic 3 hours of finely laid out musicals from Trouble Vision residents Mr Solid Gold and Park Ranger. One hell of a fun evening was had by all and we look forward to the next!

Carrying on with a lean towards the residents and warm up soldiers of London town today. As a city with more than enough parties, "deep house" hitting more ears than it has in a long time and every other dude and his cousin being a DJ sometimes the real soldiers, the record collectors, the people who have been doing this for more than time can easily be forgotten.

The true art of the Dj and the years of soldiering and learning the art of the selector can be as, if not more than important than anything else. It definitely shows when a DJ has spent many an hour learning the art of cranking out more than just the big jams. We're definitely noticing these type of DJs starting to get a little more of their well deserved attention recently. With quality nights like Rhythm Section and Resident Cochons leading the way it's a real positive thing to see.

BoaBoa an old friend of ours and long time master of down right quality splicings has just sent over his latest concoction. BoaBoa aka David Boa is definitely a connoisseur of tune selection, impeccable mixing skills and is a man that has a serious passion for what he does. A long time learning just how it should be done certainly shows on this one.

A smooth selection of house throughout on this April effort from Boa. Featuring DJ Koze, James Welsh, Ripperton and a whole host of other fresh sounding rollers. This one will ease your ears into the new week perfectly. Get it on the player below and check for more details of where you can find BoaBoa hiding out over on his Soundcloud page here

Happy Monday and catch you later in the week.

Oli D.A.B. - Trouble Vision Podcast 004

Happy Friday!

A little something from myself today. A few weeks back i had the pleasure of being asked to put together a wee mix as part of the Trouble Vision podcast series. It's a massive honor being the first Trouble Vision resident to be allowed to submit a mix for the recently relaunched series so a lot of thought went in to this one. A bit of everything i love in there with a lean towards the laid back funk, soulful numbers and disco jams. House later on as well obviously :-)

Recorded live in Corsica Studios with two 1210s, two CDjs and a clunky yet beautiful analogue mixer.

Would love you too have a listen and let me know your thoughts on the Soundcloud player below.

Ewan Pearson - Boiler Room mix - march 2013

Doubling up the posts today as I've just had a chance to listen to Ewan Pearson's Boiler room mix from last week and it would be cruel of me not to get it up here now.

I am now regretting not making it down to Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston's - Love from Outer Space party on Sunday even more. After listening to this absolute treat you'll understand why.  Ewan joined Dan Avery, Mr Weatherall and more for a serious session down at Corsica studios to bring out the Easter weekend in style and due to over excessive partying on the previous days i missed out.

Lesson learned. This mix make up for it a little bit. Check it and download it on the Soundcloud below or check out the set in full via the trusty boiler room video cam.
