Coming in on this fine Wednesday morning with a wee treat from the Leeds/London crew and party masters Flux.
Number 16 in the flux pod cast series comes from Flux residents Aartekt. Fresh from their second 12" release on Bad Animal the lads are definitely picking up momentum.
A powerful mix we got here as well taking it from the slowed up chuggers right through to the rolling and atmospheric house and techno the boys are becoming known for. Featuring tracks from Daniel Avery, Axel Bowman and a whole host of original Aartekt material this one should hopefully leave you begging for the weekend.
Get it on the Soundcloud player at the bottom of the page with track list available over on the Soundcloud page.
Catch Aartekt and the rest of the Flux man dem with special guests Ripperton, Agnes, Ooft and more this Friday - 5th April at the Sidings Arches on Southwark Street, London. Event details can be found here and on the flyer down below as well.

Robin on NTS Radio - Thursday 28th March
Hey guys. Hope you all had safe and fun Easter weekends and managed to fit in as much party and down time as you could.
Big love to the Trouble Vision crowd from Thursday. A huge night was had by all that i spoke to so thanks for coming down and partying like gooduns. Also shouts to the Big Chill bar crew and all that came along to see us play on Saturday. It was another cracker.
In this week with a fresh NTS show laid down by Robin on Thursday evening. Stepping in for the Dark Sky boys, Robin took air wave control from ten til midnight. A perfect little selection of laid back numbers rolling through to some serious house and techno jams later on.
Take the jump on the link here (or url below, not sure why it mentions T Williams in the link tho?) to the NTS web site for a full stream.

We'd like to give a shout out to all the Horizons crew, The Trouble Vision and Tief Family, Casino Times, Jackmaster, The Shapes crew, Flux Crew and any one else that joined in with the party. It was a lot of fun and our bodies are near broken. Good times!

Ben Sun - Pelski Podcast 003
Coming in once again from our favorite blog and all round top quality site Pelski is the 3rd edition in their podcast series.
This one mixed by DJ, Producer and Voyeuryhthm label boss Ben Sun. This fellas DJ sets and production drip with quality. Pelski says it better over on the sites main post with "a welcome counterpoint to the current deluge of naff deep house". We cannot agree more. Get in on the player below and head over to the Pelski site here for the full post.
C90s - Spring Mix tape.
Our second treat for today is this superb splicing coming from London duo The C90s.
From knowing one half of the duo, Danny from well back in the day and being a fan of his stuff since then i always look forward to the latest mix offering coming from these guys. Amazing tune selection and perfectly laid down every time. This one definitely brings an element of spring to the table with funked out upbeat gems and fresh sounding stompers through out. Get it on the Soundcloud player below and head over to the C90s Soundcloud page here for more from the guys.
Back tomorrow for some pre Trouble Vision hype.

Daft Punk Influences mix - CK - 2011
Unless you've been asleep for the past month then you should have caught wind of the Daft Punk come back rumors and being one hell of a Daft Punk fan this is some of the best news i've heard for a wee while. Talk of Chic's Nile Rogers and disco/high energy god Giorgio Moroder on the colab tip also means that this could be one of the greatest things to hit our ear pods in a little while.
Thought we'd post this audio treat today in the form of CKs Daft Punk influence mix put together back in 2011 for Bodytonic blog to keep in with the hype. This version below is supposedly the extended version with an extra hour of tunage to the original post featuring 88 tracks that influenced Daft Punk's 1997 ground breaking Homework album.
This ones definitely worth listening to in full so free up two hours, crack on your headphones and get involved. This is one hell of a mix.

Bake - Boiler room mix (2011)
Short on time today so not many words for you but we thought we'd crack up this fantastic mix by Bake recorded live at the Hessle Audio Boiler Room session back in 2011. One hell of a live mix and the man's tune selection is right up my street. Been enjoying this one for a wee while now.
Catch Bake at the Easter Trouble Vision session alongside myself, Mr Solid Gold, Maxxi Soundsystem, Deetron and many more. More details on the event can be found here.
Safe weekend ya'll.

Alex Egan - NTS - Rhythm Connection Mix
Morning. Straight in nice and early today with this wonderful splicing from Alex Egan. We posted his Boiler room warm up set a few months back and as great as it was it was definitely too short (Boiler room time restraints likely to be the cause there).
We thought we'd get this full length mix up today to give you an even better taste of what Mr Alex Egan is about. Amazingly thought out running list on this one that more than works. Something Alex is known and respected for. Originally mixed on NTS's Rhythm Connection show but rushed and cut short towards the end due to time restrictions so Alex has re-recorded the sequence for your listening pleasure.
Get in on the Mix cloud below and come check out Alex Egan at our next Oonst event at Basing House, London on the 26th April.

iph - Disco/ Soul/ Funk mix
One treat of a mix for you today. This one comes from a complete unknown to us, i've tried digging out some more info on the guy but haven't yet been too successful however i think it makes it even better with an element of mystery going on.
We became aware of this one when our man Park Ranger posted it on his Facebook page a few weeks back as part of his regular recommendations posts. Any way. The mix is by iph and contains some of the most funk and boogie ridden gems this side of funky town. Something a little different, straight up vinyl and well worth a listen.
Get it on the player below and head on over to the mans Soundcloud page and show some love.

Back in with the mixtuals - Park Ranger, Sleazy McQueen, Midland
Hi all. Sorry for the lack in posts recently. Once again the restraints and daily schedule of modern day life has prevented us getting the good stuff up here for you and for that we are very sorry.
Anyway. We're back! And what better way to get things rolling again than with a shed load of mixes that have been floating our boat over the past few weeks.
Park Ranger - DownLow Radio mix
First up is this treat from fellow Trouble Vision Resident Park Ranger mixed for those lovely people over at DownLow. One of my favourite DJs to hear play is Park Ranger and i think this mix will show you why. Get it on the player below.
Sleazy McQueen - Pelski Podcast 002
So as we mentioned a few weeks back our favorite blogger and website are back! Pelski and his top notch web space have relaunched. And we are super happy about it. Head on over and check it out here if you haven't already. On the mix front, Pelski Podcast 002 comes from US based Sleazy McQueen and it is definitely a keeper. Recorded live in a LA ware house the mix is packed sleaze ridden house and groove. Check it out on the player below and head over to the Pelski site here for the full post.
Midland - Recorded live @ Panorama Bar, Berlin.
Last up today is this powerful set from Midland recorded live from 5:30 am til 8:30am at Berlin party Sub:stance.
In what i would expect from a quality Panorama Bar set this one has some go to it. If this doesn't leave you wanting to book your Berlin flights then nothing will. House, techno, bass and percussion laid out in the skillful way Midland has become known for. Our Man Mr Solid Gold was present for the evening of the party and has said Midland's set was definitely a highlight. Get it on the player below.

Tief + Beat In Space
Happy Thursday yo!
Tief + Beat In Space = One hell of a slice of fried gold
One step closer to the weekend and more importantly for any one down in London town tomorrow, one step closer to what is looking to be one of the best parties of the year so far. Friday evening at our favourite London noise den Corsica Studios, Trouble Vision sister party Tief return with a line up that is enough to wow the most seasoned of house and disco lovers.
Tomorrow's proceedings will see Todd Terje, Prosumer, Iron Curtis, Linkwood, Casino times, Ejeca, Ben Sun..........(take a breath)............along side residents Hesseltime, Mr Solid Gold and Thick As Thieves. If that isn't a serious enough line up i don't know what is.
Also joining tomorrow nights line up as well as his weekly show being in association with the event on this occasion will be Beats In Space Radio host Tim Sweeney....... Which brings us nicely on to today's mix recommendations.
We've posted a few Beats In Space shows over the past few years and as a weekly radio show that brings interesting guests and different takes on the house and disco we crave, BIS really does hit the spot. We cannot recommend enough heading over to the BIS site here and subscribing to the show. Streamed live from New York city every Tuesday and then posted on the site for pod cast pleasure, recent shows have included guests such as Daniel Avery, HNNY, No Regular Play and a very funny session with DFA's Juan Maclean. There's not enough decent house and disco music shows around that bring the perfect mix of chat, music and dance eclecticism that BIS does and it really is a testament to Mr Sweeney.
We thought we'd post up Tim Sweeney's Boiler room video session recorded in London at the end of last year to get you in the mood and please make sure you head on over to the Beats In Space site and check it out ( if you are not already a regular obvs).
Pre sales for tomorrow nights Tief have now all gone but there will be limited numbers available on the door from 10pm. Trust us when we say you need to get there early to grab one and hopefully we'll see you on the dance floor.

Justice - The Lost Fabric mix
Happy Monday folks. We hope you all had safe weekends and will forgive us for opening up with the word folks.
Coming in to day with a bit of nostalgia. Maybe not as lost as we've stated in the title but this is definitely a mix that seems to have been relegated to the back of a lot of peoples memory.
The so called rejected Fabric mix from Parisian duo Justice was released by the guys themselves back in Christmas of 2007 after the the label/club supposedly told them it was a no go. Whether the rejection was due to licensing issues or simply the fact that Fabric were not expecting such a clever and well thought out expression of what a mix tape should be (this certainly didn't fit the public's idea of a Justice mix at the time) we will probably never no. Either way the mix made for an amazing listen when i heard it for the first time amongst the surrounding sound scape of noisy electro and over the top wobble house that was dominating the clubs of London at the time.
Now the current house hipsters and their deep V'age may snub their noses at anything with Justice in the name but if you have not heard this mix before you are in for a real treat. The selection ranges from some of the greatest disco cuts ever to obscure soundtrack sampling and fromage-esque French pop. And of course there is some guitars in there to keep things in perspective. It is definitely not what some people would expect from the charting Justice we all know and once loved but i think it shows you the talent and ear for DJing that made them the greats they became. I read recently that no one apart from the French actually listen to Justice any more. Well that's not completely true.
Get it on the Soundcloud player below ( A random upload but this one is hard to find these days) and let us know your thoughts.

Tusk Wax + The 2 Bear & Cajmere
Wussup people. Happy Valentines to you all!
Sorry for the slack week. After one riotous Oonst party last Friday we decided to take a few days relaxation time. But alas we are back in today with some fresh ear smut for you.
Tusk Wax
First up these two unmissable mixes from one of my favorite labels Tusk Wax. I'd completely forgot about the first until a diner with Mr Solid Gold (the man merks jerk chicken) last week reminded me of what a superb mix it is. Straight from Tim Sweeney's Beats in Space show back in November of last year the mysterious Tusk Wax takes us though a mixtual that will leave you digging for a very long time.
The label itself is one of true quality with all releases on Tusk Wax and its sister labels Horn Wax and Porn Wax released on limited hand numbered vinyl only. Keep an eye out for anything released on the imprints as they drip with class. The second mix from Tusk Wax below is a more recent selection consisting of forthcoming releases on the label. Make sure you check out both in full.
The 2 Bears - Is This Cajmere?
This one has been put together by the very special 2 Bears - aka Raf Daddy and Joe Goddard in the run up to a night that is another pretty much unmissable event. On the 2nd of March at XOYO, London, 2 become 3 when the legendary Cajmere will be joining The 2 Bears for a night of jacking Chicago flavoured greatness and man size yet real house music.
We last saw Cajmere at Corsica studios back in December last year and what a show he brings. I don't think any man can look as fly as he does behind the desk and 20 years of experience as one of the worlds most forward thinking house pioneers means you are not going to be lacking in the tune shelf.
Get the mix on the player below and head on over to the RA page here for full party details.

Tender Hooks Launch + Mr Beatnick Dummy Mag mix
Yo!
We back and it's Friday already. We've spent most of this week recovering from last weeks double Trouble Vision and what a session it was. Shouts go out to all the TV regulars as it was truly one to remember.
Now we may sound a little bias towards Corsica Studios with it being the home of Trouble Vision and what not but we can not express how perfect a space it has become. Tonight sees them opening their doors to new in house party Tender Hooks which is looking to continue the excellent level of programming the venue has become known for.
Dutch based label Clone will be taking over room one for the majority of the evening. Presenting 3 of their most renowned artists Serge, Gerd and Legowelt the Clone crew will most certainly be laying down some of the finest Dutch house and techno out there.
Room two brings us to today's mix and more importantly UK label Don't be Afraid. Since its launch in 2009 Don't be Afraid have rapidly become one of the UK's most respected left field house labels and we are very excited to see what they bring to the Tender Hooks meat room later this evening.
The label will be taking control of room two for the entire evening with label boss Semtek as well as Marco Shuttle, Alis, James Broomfield and the very talented Mr Beatnick controlling the dials.
We thought we'd post this serious splicing by Mr Beatnick himself mixed towards the end of last year for Dummy mag. An excellent demonstration of why the man has gained so much respect both for his DJ sets and his regular NTS show. Get the mix on the below player and head on over to the original Dummy mag post here for the full interview.
Details for tonight's Tender Hooks can be found here and hopefully we'll see you down there for what is looking to be another excellent night of music and leg shaking. Fresh.

Fresh.
