Oli D.A.B & Robin Presents On London Fields Radio Vol 2

Trying to keep this one as regular as we can so made our way up to the Wilton Way Cafe/London Fields radio studio on Saturday afternoon to put together our latest presents show for London Fields Radio.

As before, just a nice selection of tracks we're really enjoying at the moment with a bit of random chat from myself and Robin about the music, things we are looking forward to in the oncoming festival ridden months as well as some other pointless waffle. The coffee in that place really is good.

Have a listen on the Mixcloud player below and head over to their main Mixcloud page here and check out some of the other shows. Our next show (Vol 3) will hopefully be recorded in August with a few special guests involved so please spread the love and retweet, repost and play it out loud for all your peoples.

DJ Sneaks #10 Park Ranger - Stop Making Sense Festival mix

Back again today with an extremely good mix from our fellow Trouble Vision resident and brother from another mother Park Ranger.

Photobucket

Keeping in with the rave ridden kicks theme, Park Ranger has sent us a snap of his bounced in Pointer
Mathieson's . Not to clued up on Pointer as a brand myself but from the pic below the Mathiesons are a fresh looking pair and have done well to look this smooth after the sessions they have been dragged through. A classic high top style with a wheat canvas and premium suede upper pulls off these alternative kicks nicely. Definitely a pair for someone wanting a high quality high top trainer but not wanting to go with the usual Nike or Adidas option.

Photobucket

This is what Park Ranger had to say about them: "The Sneakers were bought because they were expensive, i had some money from djing the night before and was out with a lady, so tried to impress her by buying some expensive shoes, i thought this might work as she works in a shoe shop - i really hope she doesn't read this"

Park Ranger's Mix.
This summer Trouble Vision will be making its first trip overseas hosting a beach party and boat party at Stop Making Sense Festival (12th, 13th, 14th of August) in Croatia. We are ridiculously excited to be joining in with the fun alongside artists including Midland, Floating Points, Jack Master and of course the whole Trouble Vision family. Trouble Vision long player Park Ranger has put together the latest mix in the SMS warm up series just to tease you in to booking that flight and making your way out for what is looking to be one of the best weekend of the summer.

In typical Park Ranger style the mix is
floor less building up throughout and keeping things in a suitably summer state of mind. Definitely worth downloading and keeping this one as it will come in very handy for those summer park sessions over the upcoming weeks.

Check out the mix on the
Soundcloud player or Mixcloud Player below as well as an exclusive peak at the track list. I've also slipped in a picture of Stop Making Sense festival from last year to try and entice you in to joining us......Go on, you know you want to.

LOVEBOX Weekend + Hot Blood Feat Andy Williams - Weekender Warm Up Mix

Festival season is well in swing with Sonar on this weekend (yes i am insanely upset I'm not there), Glastonbury kicking off on Wednesday and Gottwood on the 30th July. But we thought we needed to give you a quick reminder of what we think is by far the best London based festival session.

Lovebox festival is creeping up on us and is now under a month away (14th, 15th, 16th July 2011) and with a line up like theirs (still more to be announced as well!) tickets are flying. A quick slice of some of this years names just to wet your appetite include Floating Points, MCDE, Ms Dynamite, Art Department, Santigold, Aeroplane and that's not even touching on the headliners. Make sure you get over to the web site now and hook yerself up with one if not all three days worth of passes and i promise you will not be disappointed.

Photobucket

And to get us in to the feel of things as well as try and brush away the miserable weather outside and transport ourselves to mid July, Lovebox resident DJ crew Hot Blood feat Andy Williams have put together a seriously tasty warm up mix.

Andy Williams has been a regular as part of the Lovebox crew over the years and we are very happy to hear his studio and live DJ skills come to life in this 90 minute monster of a mix he has just sent over. Andy grew up in Kent during the heady summer of Love circling of the M25 with most weekends being spent watching the early pioneers that most certainly set his sights on things to come.
Andy has since DJ' d from pole to pole and still continues to do so on a regular basis.
Last year saw Andy step up in the Relentless arena at Lovebox and and deliver a storming set for which i can vouch for and has been concentrating hard in the studio over the past year putting out remixes for Me My Head, Andy Wetheralls The Detachments and 2 smooth remixes for Groove Armada vocalist Saint Saviour (one of which is included in this mix).

Check out the mix and track listing below and get on over to the Lovebox website here and sort those tickets out now! Also check out Andy's Soundcloud here for productions and remixes

Oli D.A.B & Robin Presents On London Fields Radio

Thought it's about time we had something from us up here as we haven't posted a mix in a while due to us both being stupidly busy with gigs and the toils of modern life and its far past needed.

On Saturday afternoon pre Trouble Vision we made the journey up to the lovely Wilton Way Cafe in London Fields to record our first show for London Fields Radio.

Photobucket

London Fields Radio still in it's very early days has managed to set things up very nicely with the booth and recording desk positioned in a cosy window corner of the Cafe bringing an element of bustling Hackney on a sunny afternoon to the recording. After a few initial technical issues ( and us probably needing to sort out mic volumes for the next show) we managed to get our heads round the desk and put together this first show. Bit ruff around the edges but we now can't wait to get on to the next show hopefully in the next few weeks. We'll keep you posted with dates for that one as the Wilton Way Cafe coffee is unbelievably good, so even if it's not to say hello, you should swing by for the chilled afternoon house music and a large cup of strong coffee.

Have a listen on the Mix Cloud player below and check out the London Fields Radio podcasts here (new web site coming soon)

Also....Spot the mistakes.
Gottwood dates 30th June - 3rd July Tickets here
And the last track is actually Stuffa & David A Tobin - Proof (Wolf+Lamb remix)
Enjoy!
