DJ Premier is bit of a hero of mine to be honest. Simple but perfectly placed cuts and one of the finest creators of straight up sampled, raw and real hip hop beats. Gangstarr was definitely the in car and "mini disk" player soundtrack of my teenage years and is still something i have to listen to at least once a week.
So i thought I'd alert your ears to this if you haven't had the pleasure of hearing it already. Premo, lays down a superb selection of old skool cuts to bring in the new year. Perfection on a hip hop platter brought to us by DJ Premier blog radio.
